Reiki and Kazutama are separate services. Plan Reiki appointments using the Reiki options on this page.
USUI REIKI · WORKNESTACADEMY
Slow down. Make space for yourself.
Reiki is a Japanese wellness tradition practised with light touch or hands held just above the body. It focuses on time to rest in a calm setting, with respect for personal boundaries. WorkNestAcademy schedules Reiki appointments as a separate service.
Choose in-person or remote attendance. Confirmation follows payment verification and administrator approval.

01
What is Reiki? Tradition and personal experience
During Reiki, you sit or lie down in comfortable clothing. The practitioner holds their hands near the body; light touch requires your agreement. The traditional idea of “life energy” is a framework of belief and practice. A session offers time to rest and have a personal experience; it is not massage, psychotherapy or medical treatment.
02
The Usui tradition and five everyday principles
Modern Reiki is associated with Mikao Usui in Japan in the early twentieth century. Everyday awareness, gratitude, honest work and kindness are important in the Usui tradition. These principles are reminders for mindful daily living; you do not have to adopt a belief or feel calm all the time.
03
How does an in-person appointment unfold?
Begin by discussing expectations, a comfortable position and touch preferences. Keep your comfortable everyday clothes on, seated or lying down. Hands may remain above the body. Light touch requires your separate agreement, with boundaries around sensitive areas respected. You do not have to close your eyes or remain silent. You may pause, change position or end the appointment at any time. Afterwards, share your experience if you wish and clarify the next appointment.
Remote attendance: time for yourself wherever you are
For remote Reiki, choose a quiet place where you will not be interrupted and can sit or lie comfortably. Agree the communication format beforehand; there is no physical contact. Distance practice belongs to Reiki tradition, but energy transmission or health outcomes are not presented as established effects. This service does not include Kazutama devices, water-bottle practice or selection from 35 programs.
05
What might you feel? Keeping expectations realistic
Some people describe relaxation, warmth, coolness, tingling or sleepiness; others feel nothing particular. You are not expected to demonstrate a specific response. Sensations do not measure success, and their absence does not measure failure. You may want time to rest during a stressful period, while seeking qualified care when anxiety, depression, pain or sleep difficulties require treatment. Personal experience is not a clinical outcome or a healing guarantee.
06
A little preparation before attending
Wear comfortable clothes and discuss touch and positioning preferences at the start. For remote appointments, silence notifications and check the agreed communication channel. WorkNestAcademy’s private preparation steps appear in your account after payment and appointment approval: a short request video and, for remote attendance, your portrait. These are our service preparation steps, not universal requirements of Reiki tradition. No water-bottle photo or Kazutama program selection is needed.
07
How is your five-appointment package planned?
The package contains five separately scheduled Reiki appointments, rather than one extended session. During purchase, choose attendance format and the first available date and time. After payment verification, the administrator confirms the first appointment. The remaining four are scheduled individually, with dates and meeting notes emailed to you. Track appointments and package progress in your account. Five visits are not a prescribed treatment dose for a health outcome.
Before you decide
Do I need prior experience or a particular belief?
No prior Reiki experience is required. Discuss the appointment’s framework at the start. You do not have to adopt beliefs or participate in an unwanted practice.
Can I attend without being touched?
State your preference for no touch at the start. Light touch requires separate agreement, which you may change or withdraw during the appointment.
What should I prepare in my account?
Wear comfortable clothes and discuss touch and positioning preferences at the start. For remote appointments, silence notifications and check the agreed communication channel. WorkNestAcademy’s private preparation steps appear in your account after payment and appointment approval: a short request video and, for remote attendance, your portrait. These are our service preparation steps, not universal requirements of Reiki tradition. No water-bottle photo or Kazutama program selection is needed.
Are Reiki’s health effects established?
Reiki has not been established as a treatment for disease, and the proposed energy field has not been scientifically demonstrated. Some people find sessions restful; experiences vary. Continue healthcare and do not delay diagnosis or treatment for Reiki.
How do I arrange the remaining four appointments?
After payment verification, the administrator schedules the remaining visits. Dates, times and notes are emailed and visible in your account.
Does the package include Reiki training or certification?
No. You purchase five Reiki appointments, without training, practitioner qualification or certification. Device training is also a separate service.
